Volunteer

Get involved with the Village and help our Committee create and maintain a gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans-friendly Village in Ottawa’s downtown core along Bank Street! Our fabulous volunteers, called the Village People, have helped in numerous ways, including:

1. participating in fundraising events, such as Build Our Bank, film-screening/block parties, etc.
2. participating in awareness activities such as the Capital Pride Parade
3. selling Village merchandise, such as t-shirts, undies and wearable stickers
4. canvassing businesses and organizations for support and forwarding information
5. putting up posters and/or handing out promotional materials
6. cash handling
7. community-building
8. advisory roles or offering feedback/suggestions
